More construction is coming to Gilman Boulevard. Issaquah will soon have a new Les Schwab Tire Center at 160 NW Gilman Boulevard.
On the east end of the street, across from the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce and between the red Caboose and the Pogacha restaurant is a small one-story building that has housed many businesses over the years.
None of those business has stayed a long time or really thrived.
Currently, the building houses the GreenLink Collective, a medical marijuana provider, and Bella Cheri, a salon.
Behind the building is an open field that has been the home for a grazing sheep for decades.
Gilman Point is a new development that will require the existing building to be demolished.
In its place a new 12,000 square foot Les Schwab Tire Center will be constructed. A four story, 95,000 square foot self-storage facility will also be built on the site.
The development is still in the approval process at the City of Issaquah and therefore a timeline is not known.
Les Schwab Tire Centers have been in business for more than 60 years and have more than 450 stores nationwide.
